The Bible against gays:

Blasphemy has as much a clear definition as "bad." Blasphemy is "irreverence towards religion" in its loosest sense. Ever question God when something bad happens? Ever say "god damn it"? Ever claim land in God's name? Ever say "Jesus Christ" when not referring to the anointed one? You are all going to Hell.
For whatsoever man [he be] that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded; Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. Ever meet someone who is not physically perfect and from the Jewish tribe of Aaron? Welp, they're going to Hell. And so are you if you didn't murder them on the spot.
Deuteronomy is a mess, too:
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which [is] as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; [Namely], of the gods of the people which [are] round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the [one] end of the earth even unto the [other] end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. (Deuteronomy 13:6-10)
Do you know anyone who isn't Jewish like you or has ever questioned their faith? Kill them. If not, you will go to Hell.

Have you ever met someone who isn't Jewish? If you haven't killed them, you will go to Hell. And anyone who knows they're not Jewish better be dead, or you'll go to Hell.
Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour. (Leviticus 25:44-46)
Remember growing up and inheriting your family slaves? I hope they never rebelled.

Ah, sweet set of rules for slavery set forth by the Bible.
And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money. (Exodus 21:20-21)
Luckily some guy came along about two thousand years ago. Yeshua bin Yusef. Joshua of Joseph. Jesus, the son of Joseph. Jesus, the anointed. Jesus Christ. This Jew came along and said that the past laws were pretty stupid and pretty complicated. So he said that since he was the son of God, you could just ignore the old laws. Everyone already ignores the dumb laws, anyways. He said this one little thing:
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.(Matthew 7:12)
Jesus basically says, "Forget the old rules that don't apply anymore (shellfish, poly-cotton blends, slavery, sexual slavery, farm rules, gays, the whole nine). Just treat others the way you'd like to be treated." Hell, every philosophy is founded on this Golden Rule. Ignore how explicit the Ten Commandments are. Would you like to be murdered? No. So don't do it.
Know what sucks? Cancer.
Know what really sucks for guys? Cancer of the balls and the peepee.

Two words: Absolutely not.
Sadly, this bill will pass through Congress easily. This Democratic-controlled Congress promised to stand up to the Bush administration. This Congress promised to restore rights promised by the American Constitution like Habeas Corpus, and also to stop the war in Iraq.
This Congress has been consistent in one thing - failing the American public. I'm a twenty-five year old living in America. I'm at that point in my life where I still have hope that the people we elect to govern us will actually listen to those who elected them. But I'm also at the point where I realize that this is just a child's dream.
Democrats and Republicans are basically the same party. And I'm only echoing the millions who have already realized this in the past. Luckily, they understand one thing : this generation's apathy.
My generation has grown up where neighbors kill one another, teachers molest students(Clark, LaFave, Holt, ...), police kill innocents, and political leaders are involved in all sorts of scandals ranging from solicitation of sex with minors to cocaine possession to war-profiteering.
It's no wonder that my generation fails to trust anyone of power without them first earning our trust. Any time my grandparents hear that a police officer has abused his power, they think it is fake news. This is the America that my generation accepts.
Fortunately for the small group who are graciously given the power to govern the people who give them this very power, they know my generation's flaw; we are a generation of dispirited people who spend more time talking about problems than actually doing something to solve the problem. With Bush's approval rating at roughly 30% and Congress's even lower at roughly 25%, people in this country should be standing up for their rights.
But we do nothing.
We know that if we vote for the Democrats or the Republicans, that we are voting for the same party. Luckily for them, we are more worried about trying to afford a house in the current bubble, paying off student loans, or trying to make a living to be afforded the opportunity to worry about our current government.
But my generation has reached its breaking point. We all know someone who has had to suffer in Iraq without an adequate defense. We all know someone who has survived through several "tours" of the Middle East. We all know someone who has been murdered in this war. We all know someone who has had to nickel-and-dime their lives to pay for a family member's operations. We all know people in poverty.
It's time for the Elected to realize who has elected them.
There was this book written a few years back by Tom Paine called "Common Sense." I'm not sure if people have heard about it, but there is this one passage that reads, "That there are men in all countries who get their living by war, and by keeping up the quarrels of Nations, is as shocking as it is true; but when those who are concerned in the government of a country make it their study to sow discord, and cultivate prejudices among Nations, it becomes the more unpardonable." In Common Sense, Paine wrote that the majority of colonists wanted a new America. They didn't want to live under fear of a King sending them to fight wars overseas in foreign countries. They didn't want a government that ruled every aspect of life; the smaller the government, the better. They laughed at Britain's government " a government set up without a system of checks and balances to keep the King from ruling without opposition.
In July of that year, Thomas Jefferson wrote, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, [...] That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, " That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, [...] and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. [...] The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States."
See, there were some guys way back when who grew intolerant of the practices performed in their country. These men actually stood up and opposed the controlling powers. They fought wars, not by invading another nation, but by defending their homeland. These men were born and raised in a country which was then ruled by tyrants adamant on sending the troops to unending wars overseas, levying undue taxes, and taking advantage of the "working man." Even France understood that you can only bend the working man so much before he snaps.
The current Congress which promised a new era of peace and hope has delivered nothing but disappointment. Habeas Corpus, the Great Writ, the very cornerstone of Western law has not only been suspended but dismissed readmission by the Senate by more than 50%. This writ used to mean something. It used to mean that you could question why you were arrested and being put on trial. Now, it means nothing.
Luckily for our leaders, my generation has been known to do nothing. We'll talk to our friends about how corrupt our government is, we'll send emails to each other about how much we distrust our elected leaders, we'll blog to our heart's content, but we won't do anything.
This is changing.
My generation, roughly 30% of the voting public, is beginning to stand up. Sadly, few we have elected are standing up. We've realized this. My generation's distrust of people in power is actually becoming consequential. We only trust people who have earned our trust.
And, aside from a few outstanding individuals, we have lost all hope in our elected officials.
But we're being heard.
I'm urging everyone.
